Welcome to KWANA, Kitchener-Waterloo Area Nanny Association of professional Nannies. KWANA strives to bring together Nannies in the Kitchener, Waterloo and surrounding areas. It was founded in April 2009 by professional career nannies for nannies. We are an independent group and have no ties to any agency or nonprofit group. We welcome full-time, part time, career, temporary, overseas, live in and live out nannies. The majority of KWANA will take place in the discussion group.

Our purpose is to provide nannies with the personal and professional support needed on all levels.  This site is maintained by Nannies and is for the benefit of Nannies. If you are a career Nanny, living and working in the KW area, we would love to have you join us!

Every nanny needs a place wo learn, share, problem solve, socialize and sometimes just vent frustrations. KWANA will provide this. There will be a KWANA email discussion group so you can share stories, ideas, ask questions and seek support. KWANA will have organized monthly or bi-monthly social events just for nannies as well as playdates for nannies and their charges. We'll also serve as a network for sharing ideas for places to take the kids and fun activities to do!
